Attitudes and quality of life of residence in communities around Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya

Abstract
The purpose of the research on “Attitude and quality of life of people in the community surrounding Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya” has the objectives to (1) study the quality of life of people in the area of Wat Chaiwatthanaram; Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province (2)Study the attitude of people in the area of Wat Chaiwatthanaram. Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province (3)to study problems that arise with the quality of life of people in the area of Wat Chaiwatthanaram This research is qualitative research by (1)in-depth interviews using Structured interviews (2)researching information from Documentary research. The research findings indicate that the quality of life in the community is at a moderate level. The community is relatively well-equipped with facilities and public utilities. When problems arise, relevant agencies occasionally provide support; however, minor issues remain unresolved. The community generates income primarily from the tourism sector. The community's attitude toward local tourist attractions is positive, as these attractions not only enhance the reputation of the area but also serve as a key economic driver. They provide stable employment opportunities and generate income related to tourism. Similarly, the community holds favorable attitudes toward tourists, exhibiting no negative perceptions. Tourists are generally respectful, adhering to societal rules and Thai cultural traditions, and do not disrupt the local way of life. Recommendations for improving the quality of life in the community include both physical and mental well-being. Measures should focus on regular health check-ups and disease prevention for community members in tourist areas at appropriate intervals. Regarding traffic management, dedicated traffic personnel or authorities should be stationed near the road in front of Wat Chaiwatthanaram to regulate traffic, ensuring orderliness and reducing accidents around the community.In terms of managing local businesses, efforts should be made to develop and redesign products to offer greater variety and incorporate modern, distinctive designs. This would enhance the economic opportunities for community members and increase the appeal of local products.
