TWE'S Announcement

Please be informed that there is misalignment between the subject areas listed in Scopus and SCImago, which has resulted in an incorrect quartile ranking on SCImago. Based on the correct subject areas, the qunatile for TWE, gien an SJR = 0.2, should be Q3 under Economics, Econometrics and Finance (miscellaneous)(See Page 1). The Journal has submitted the notifications to both SCImago and SCOPUS requesting that the subject areas be updated and aligned.

Since SCImago Journal & Country Rank is based on a static annual snapshot of the Scopus database, which is used to calculate all indicators, including the SJR and the corresponding quartiles, these indicators are updated only once per year, following the data provided by Scopus. Any such changes will, therfore, only be reflected in the next edition of the ranking, once the updated Scopus data have been received and processed (See responses from the Scimago below – Page 2). The Journal will provide further updates if any additional changes occur on SCImago.

**** Please note: TWE had not been included in the last year Quantile evaluation by SCOPUS as the Journal’s subject area classifications were updated to better align with the aims and scope of the Journal and with the majority of submitted manuscripts.
