Abstract

With the rapid development of the furniture industry and the continuous penetration of Chinese culture in the world, the position of contemporary Chinese furniture in the market is becoming increasingly important. More and more designers have begun to enter this field to study contemporary Chinese furniture design. The design of contemporary Chinese furniture should imitate more than traditional furniture. However, it should integrate China's thousands of years of furniture design and production experience and current technology and aesthetics and study contemporary Chinese furniture from multiple perspectives of fusion and symbiosis design methods. This article will discuss the design of contemporary Chinese furniture, mainly from three aspects. First, briefly analyze the importance and goals of contemporary Chinese furniture research; second, analyze the integration of Chinese furniture in the contemporary context of the 21st century from multiple perspectives, and summarize the integration and symbiosis of contemporary Chinese furniture design through a series of case studies Then, practice the design prototype through the previous theoretical research; finally, summarize the feasible ways and methods of contemporary Chinese furniture in the future design. The results of this survey showed that overall consumer satisfaction was at a fairly high level, unofficially.
