Transaction Costs of Fresh Latex Collection and Distribution of Na Thawi Rubber Fund Cooperatives Network, Songkhla Province

Abstract
The objective of this research was aimed to measure the transaction
cost of latex collection and distribution and how to reduce the transaction
cost of latex collection center. The results showed that the latex collection
center encountered the difficulties in pricing within the groups, because
it was inconsistent with product standard required by the plants, caused
by taking advantage of the situation in buying latex among the groups,
resulting in higher transaction costs, lack of revenue from the weight of
dry rubber decreased by 63.19 percent of the transaction cost as well as
loss of income from the transaction cost by 15.7 percent. The solution
was to apply ammonia (NH3) and ZnO / TMTD by 1.16% of weight of the
total rubber. The ratio of the ammonia (NH3) applied was 6 of 7 solutions
used and ratio of ZnO / TMTD was 1. The respective ratio showed no
impact on the reduction in the weight of dry rubber, but profit increased
by 10.75% from the sale of latex to the factor
