Suitable Creative Tourism Activities for Upstream Community, Pha Payom Canal, Phattalung Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the suitable activities of the creative tourism in the
upstream community, Pha payom canal, Phattalung province. We used a mixed method research;
qualitative, quantitative and participatory action research (PAR). Suitable activities were selected and
tested for tourism. The results show that selected creative tourism activities were divided into 3 types;
1) natural resources including activity such as trekking; 2) the demonstration tourism include demonstration
of knowledge in the process and production of organic farm and culturing of bee and stingless bee and
3) the learning of lifestyle and culture of the community. The result from testing of 30 tourists shows
that those creative activities are suitable for them. These results are using for community planning as well.
