Factors Affecting Behavioral Intention to Use the Mobile Wallet of Students in Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus

Abstract

This research article aims to study factors that affect behavior intention to use mobile wallet of undergraduate students at Prince of Songkla University, Trang Campus. The sample included 368 students. The selection of sample was purposive sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires. The partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data. The analysis results showed that female students were the majority of the respondents. They had experience in using the mobile wallet for 1-2 years with a frequency 1-3 times per month, and their usage was either mobile operator payment or buying goods/services on websites. The factors significantly affecting behavior intention to use mobile wallet were perceived security, habit, and personal innovativeness. In addition, gender did not affect the overall behavior intention to use the mobile wallet.
