Abstract

The doctoral music research composition: “Etude de Tour” for solo double bass and chamber ensemble. The research aims to Create for the double bass concert etudes utilizing of contemporary Compositional technique and methodology. Having been inspired by double bass methods of Bottesini and Simandl, and also the concert etude of Chopin, the result of this research, consisted of 10 etudes, written for double bass solo, and repertoire that being accompanied by ensemble; Etude de Tour is especially established a unique technique and Characters for modern double bass performance. In conclusion, this creative research is presented technical playing method and innovation interpretation of the double bass literature as the professional tools for double bass players.
