Empowerment of Sub district Operation Team to Drug User Screening for Treatment and Rehabilitation, Huai Yab Subdistrict, Ban Thi District, Lamphun Province

Abstract
This study aimed to Empowerment of Sub district Operation Team to drug screening for effectiveness treatment and rehabilitation. This research was conducted as a Research & Development (R&D) with specific target selected. The study consisted of 2 steps: 1. Establishment of Subdistrict team name "Subdistrict Operation Team," comprising 40 people and development by study 2 day, and 2. Practical field work in the area. Research tools were to use questionnaire before and after the training. Analysis using descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, standard deviation and comparison (Pair t-test) and using Focus group discussion for quantitative. The result of this research found that effective establishment of an action team called “Subdistrict Operation Team” consisted of authorized government officials. Developing by training two days. The training was in accordance. Knowledge skills Self-esteem and Self-efficacy was increased statistically significant at value < 0.001, P-value < 0.003, P-value < 0.001 and, < 0.001 respectively. Attitude showed no statistically significant as P-value equal to 0.147. Component 2: Practical experience in the field of Subdistrict Operation Team: after completing the training, practical operations in the four villages, found that 11 drug users were identified, and they received treatment and rehabilitation. Therefore, Empowering government teams to work with the public sector, with supporting orders, development and actual practice, was the way to empower the team to carry out their work. Screening for drug users in the community to enter the effectiveness treatment and rehabilitation.
