Abstract

         The purposed of this study was to explore the effect of reinforcing training program on creative thinking. The sublects included 157 fifth grade students studying in public elementary schools in Mahasarakham and Kalasin provinces. 83 and 74 students were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups, respectively. The inshuments consisted of (l) 10 sets of creativity taining activities, with the total of 105 activities, and (2) Tonance Creative Thinking Test : Figural, Form B. The Statistical ana.lysis involved the use of Mean and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). ln the experiment, the experimenta.l group was given a behavioral based taining program to improve creativity through three periods of experiment, namely the baseline, treatment, and fade-out stages.
          Results revealed that (1) the three aspects of cteativity (Fluency Flexibility, and Originality) were highly progressive during the treatment period and the degree of this progress was still high despite the withdrawal of the reinforcement procedure, and (2) the adjusted mean score of creativity of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group.
