Abstract

       This research aims to study The Identities of Chinese Thai People among Cultural Dive$ity and the relationship of people with other ethnic group of Chinese Thai People at social context by using the Qualitative Research Method, Identity Concept, Power relationship-oriented Concept and Ideas ofcultural diversity. These study area is in Hat Yai, Songkhla.  
        Thc research found that ldentity ofthe Chinese Thai People have many chamcteristics, flexible and follow the relationship from Chinese Thai People and others in various areas. This identity was bom though the social, beliefs and ceremonies that based on the social context, the cultural context, context of trade, political context or the context of living. As well as the initial of Chinese Thai People Identity have the "multicharacteristics" type, Therc are the Identity that initial from the self definition, from the delinition of the vadous groups and the identity that is expected tiom society. Some time Chinese Thai People think that they are 'Chinese' or 'Thai' or 'Chinese Thai People", there are discrcte about the impact and b€nefits will occur altogether, then Chinese Thai People have been selected to conducr negotiations on the words and dialogue that they are tacing.
            At the same time, the relationship of Chinese Thai People and other groups among social context, unde! the rclationship in daily life of Chinese Thai People to other people and social context are unique and vary in relation to social relationships and social status in each period that are not only follow the conventional way of detemining compliance with the requirements of state or way of thinking, way of tnditional belicfs and popularity, The Chinese Thai People is trying to negotiate, the bargaining with the relationship to all groups that included Chinese Thai People and other.
