Abstract

The economic development's success of Thailand and Malaysia is a cause's part of movement among migrantworkersinASEAN.InThailandandMalaysia, it is necessary to depend on migrant workers in the country's economic development. The flow ofmigrant workers and the illegal employment are the main problem in Thailand and Malaysia. As a rcsult, the both govemments must have a policy ofmigrant worker management to allow migrant worken to entry and work to address th€ shortage of domestic labor. Thailand and Malaysia allow skilled migrant workers to work without rcstrictions but they have policies to control and restrict low-skilled migrant workers. In the current, Thailand and Malaysia's government have a proactive policy to tackle the prcblem of low-skilled migrant workers by the bilateral agreement with origin countries m be contract workers.
