บทคัดย่อ
บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเปราะบาง การแสวงหาพื้นที่ทางสังคม และการสร้างความหมายของผู้พิการในวรรณกรรมเรื่องที่รักอย่าจากฉันไป ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ผู้พิการในวรรณกรรมเรื่องนี้ มีความเปราะบาง 2 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ 1) ความเปราะบางทางด้านร่างกาย และ 2) ความเปราะบางทางด้านจิตใจ ซึ่งเป็นสาเหตุให้ผู้พิการต้องการต่อสู้เพื่อแสวงหาพื้นที่ทางสังคม ได้แก่ 1) การแสวงหาพื้นที่ในครอบครัว 2) การแสวงหาพื้นที่ทางการศึกษา และ 3) การแสวงหาพื้นที่ในการทำงาน โดยผู้พิการได้สร้างความหมายใหม่ให้แก่ตนเอง 3 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ 1) ผู้พิการ คือ นักสู้ที่ไม่ยอมจำนนต่อโชคชะตาและอุปสรรคต่าง ๆ 2) ผู้พิการ คือ ผู้ที่มีสมรรถนะเทียบเท่าหรืออาจเหนือกว่าคนทั่วไป และ 3) ผู้พิการ คือ มนุษย์ปุถุชนทั่วไปที่สามารถอยู่ร่วมกับผู้อื่นได้ ตัวละครในวรรณกรรมเรื่องนี้ได้นำเสนอภาพแทนของการต่อสู้เพื่อเอาชนะอุปสรรคของผู้พิการเป็นการส่งสารแก่ผู้อ่านว่า แม้ผู้พิการทุกคนไม่สามารถเลือกเกิดได้ ทว่าสามารถเลือกจะใช้ชีวิตอย่างที่ตนต้องการได้
