Preparing for an Aging Society at the Sub-Districts in Thailand

Abstract
This academic article aims to present an analysis of the preparation for aging society at the sub-district level in Thailand. Preparing for an aging society is a task that must be undertaken at all levels. both nationally provincial and local, including preparing families and individuals by focusing on all sectors to work in an integrated strategies to promote people’s readiness before entering the aging society. The system’s driving to support an aging society, it is divided into 5 main dimensions: Social dimension, health dimension, economic dimension, environment dimension. learning technology dimension or SHEET Model.
Findings are as follows: Social dimension: Adjusting attitude towards aging society, promote the gathering of the elderly to take care of each other as the power of society, and promote social welfare for the elderly. The health dimension includes promoting health behaviors that are suitable for all age groups. Developing a health system and a health service system for the elderly. The economic dimension is to promote financial planning. Saving’s promotion in old age and creating a career and income that is sufficient for living at all ages. Environment dimension included community technicians, volunteer technicians, home environment’s adjustment. Public area’s adjustment to be convenient, safe, suitable for the lifestyle of the elderly. Learning technology dimensions included learning innovation, such as schools of technology and wisdom for the elderly, elderly wisdom teacher.
