ภาวะผู้นำในการพัฒนากองทัพเรือในสมัย พลเรือเอก สินธุ์ กมลนาวิน (2476-2494)

Abstract

ขอบเขตของสารนิพนธ์นี้ คือ เพื่อศึกษาภาวะผู้นำของพลเรือเอก สินธุ์ กมลนาวิน ในกองทัพเรือไทยด้วย การศึกษาทฤษฎีภาวะผู้นำและวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบกับคุณลักษณะของท่าน ศึกษาว่าท่านมีคุณสมบัติตามทฤษฎีภาวะผู้นำและมีคุณลักษณะของผู้นำอย่างไรบ้าง วิธีการศึกษาในครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (qualitative research) โดยวิธีการศึกษาทางประวัติศาสตร์และในทางพฤติกรรมที่แสดงออก (historical and behavioral approach) เป็นหลักสำคัญ ทำการศึกษาตั้งแต่กำเนิดจนถึงแก่กรรมด้วยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการค้นคว้าเอกสารเป็นหลักและการสัมภาษณ์เชิงประวัติศาสตร์ (oral history) แบบไม่เป็นทางการเพื่อประกอบการศึกษาตัวผู้วิจัยเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้งหมดเพื่อหาข้อสรุปแบบอุปนัย (inductive) และสังเคราะห์หาภาวะผู้นำแบบนิรนัย (deductive)

จากการศึกษา พบว่า ภาวะผู้นำของพลเรือเอก สินธุ์ กมลนาวินในกองทัพเรือไทยท่านมีคุณลักษณะตาม ทฤษฎีคุณลักษณะส่วนตัวของผู้นำ (traits theories of leadership) ที่มีคุณลักษณะที่ได้รับการพัฒนาตัวเองด้วยการมีโอกาสไปศึกษาที่ต่างประเทศทำให้มีความรู้และความคิดที่ก้าวหน้ามีประสบการณ์ได้รู้ได้เห็นความเจริญของกองทัพเรือที่พัฒนามากกว่ากองทัพเรือไทยจึงนำความรู้มาพัฒนาโดยเริ่มจากการพัฒนาองค์บุคคล โดยส่งไปศึกษายังต่างประเทศจำนวนมากและได้นำความรู้กลับมาช่วยพัฒนากองทัพเรือและเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีอยู่ในปัจจุบัน อีกทั้งท่านเป็นผู้นำเชิงปฏิรูป (transformational leadership) ท่านได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงพรสวรรค์เรื่องการศึกษา ความอดทน มุ่งมั่น จริงจัง มีความสามารถศึกษาได้หลากหลายวิชา ช่วงเวลาในการปฏิบัติราชการในกองทัพเรือ ท่านได้พัฒนาหน่วยงานของกองทัพเรือให้มีผลงานและความสำเร็จเป็นรูปธรรมสามารถเห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงในสิ่งที่ดีขึ้นขององค์การ โดยการเปลี่ยนแปลงกำลังรบทางเรือที่มีอยู่ก่อนที่ท่านจะมารับผิดชอบโดยการบริหารกองทัพเรือในการจัดหากำลังรบสมัยใหม่เขามาประจำการทดแทนของเก่าที่มีขีดความสามารถต่ำ เพื่อเป็นที่มั่นใจต่อประชาชนในการป้องกันประเทศทางทะเลได้อย่างมั่นคง

LEADERSHIP OF ADMIRAL SINDHU KHAMALANANAVIN IN THE ROYAL THAI NAVY’S DEVELOPMENT (1933-1951)

The research is the leadership of Admiral Sindhu Khamalanavin in The Royal Thai Navy’s Development (1933-1951) to study the leadership of Admiral Sindhu Khamalnavin in Thai Navy by studying leadership theory and analysis the comparison with his character, studying what his qualifies as the leadership theory and have his any the leadership features? The methodology in this research was qualitative research by historical and behavioral approach was the majority of study from birth until death by data collected from research document mainly and informal oral history to study. The researcher was the data collector in all documentaries to find the inductive conclusion and synthetic leadership deductive

From studying found that the leadership Admiral Sindhu Khamalanavin in The Royal Thai Navy’s Development, he has the feature as traits theories of leadership who has the feature self-development. Fortunately, he got the opportunity to go to study aboard caused the knowledge, idea progress and experience to see those navies more development than Thai navy so he took those with knowledge to develop started from personal development by sending to study aboard a lot of people and taking the knowledge back to develop the navy and it is good example now also he was the transformation leadership in addition he also shown about the talent of education, tolerance, engrossed, extremely, abilities to study varieties subject. In the government office period of the navy he developed the navy effective and concrete achievement able to see the change in better of organization by changed existing naval force before he handled by navy administration in new naval force management instead of the previous one which had the low competency in or der to creating the confidential for population to protect the nation in marine firmly
