บทบาทประชาชนของสังคมประชาธิปไตยกับการเลือกตั้งสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรในเขตเลือกตั้ง 8 จังหวัดภาคเหนือตอนบนของประเทศไทย

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้ทางการเมือง พฤติกรรมทางการเมือง การมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง ความเข้าใจบริบททางการเมือง และความสำนึก ทางการเมืองของประชาชนผู้มีสิทธิออกเสียงเลือกตั้งในเขตเลือกตั้ง 8 จังหวัดภาคเหนือตอนบนของ ประเทศไทย 2) เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทของประชาชนฯ ในการการตัดสินใจเลือกสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรที่ เป็นตัวแทนที่ดี และ 3) เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อบทบาทของประชาชนฯ ในการตัดสินใจเลือกสมาชิก สภาผู้แทนราษฎรที่เป็นตัวแทนที่ดี ผลการวิจัยพบว่า

ประชาชนในเขตเลือกตั้ง 8 จังหวัดภาคเหนือตอนบนของประเทศไทย มีความเข้าใจบริบททาง การเมือง ความสำนึกทางการเมือง และการตัดสินใจเลือกผู้สมัครรับเลือกตั้งที่มีคุณสมบัติไม่เห็นแก่ ประโยชน์ส่วนตนโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ขณะที่การมีส่วนร่วมทางการเมือง และการรับรู้ทางการเมือง พบว่า อยู่ในระดับค่อนข้างมาก และผลจากการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยเชิงพหุคูณตามลำดับขั้นตอน เพื่อหา ตัวแปรที่ส่งผลต่อบทบาทของประชาชนฯ ในการตัดสินใจเลือกสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรที่เป็นตัวแทนที่ดี พบว่า 5 ตัวแปรที่ส่งผลในทางบวก เรียงตามลำดับ คือ การรับรู้เกี่ยวกับกระบวนการเลือกตั้ง รองลงมา คือ ความเข้าใจบริบทการเมืองมีความโปร่งใสตรวจสอบได้ ความเข้าใจบริบทการปกครองแบบประชาธิปไตย พฤติกรรมการไปใช้สิทธิเลือกตั้งที่ไม่ได้ตอบแทนบุญคุณของผู้สมัครรับเลือกตั้ง และการมีส่วนร่วมใช้สิทธิ ออกเสียงเลือกตั้ง ตามลำดับ

The Role of Citizens in a Democratic Society and the Election of Members of the House of Representatives in Eight Upper Northern Thai Provinces Constituencies

The dissertation is the survey research, the objectives are : 1) To study political perceptions, political behaviors, political participation, understanding politicalcontext and politicalawareness of selected citizens who hold the right to vote in eight constituencies in upper northern Thai provinces. 2) To study the roles of citizens in making the decision to vote for members of the House of Representatives perceived asgood representatives. Finally, 3) to study the factors affecting the roleof citizens in making the decision to voteperceived good representatives.Finding are as follows:

Citizensin eight constituencies in upper northern Thai provinces have understanding of the political context shown by the members of the sample population was overall displayed at the highest level. As, they have political perceptions, political behaviors, political participation,and political awareness in an overall picture were evinced at a high level.Finally, the researcher additionally utilized stepwise multiple regression analysis has shown:

As for the variables affecting their roles in making the decision to cast vote for perceived good representatives, there were five variables showing positive affects in the following descending order: perception of the election processunderstanding of political context with variable transparency, understanding of the context of democratic government, behavior of voting independent of perceived obligations candidates and participation in voting.
