Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study risk factors in management of the village and urban community fund in accordance with corporate social responsibility and to study factors relating to risk factor in management of village and urban community funds of Nong Suao and Klong Luang Diistricts, Pratumthani Province. The size of the sample was based on Krejcie and Morgan (1970), convenient sampling was a technique used to select the sample of 380, A questionnaire was an instrument used for data collection. In addition, qualitative study was conducted by interviewing a focused group of 12 key informants. Stepwise multiple regression was conducted for hypothesis testing.

  The results of the study were as follows. The respondents from both Nong Suao and Klong Luang Districts viewed that management of rules and regulations was at the low level. The committee had more understanding about risk management of the village and urban community funds similarly, risk evaluation by the process of giving loans. The efficiency of implementation of the committee in internal investigation was of the high level. The efficiency of implementation on the allocation of benefits of the village fund, document preparation and loan payback were of the highest level. Risk management consisted of preparing document loan and mortgage documents and summarizing the balance of the village fund. The report on implementation was of the highest level. The potential for instrument and technology utilization, for the management of village funds, was of a high level. Warnings for the paying back of loans were of the middle level. However, following up the loan payments and internal investigations were of the high level.
