Effect of government project on the housing estate in Tha Maka district, Kanchanaburi province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the public opinion on the effect of government project on the housing estate in Tha Maka district, Kanchanaburi province, to compare the public opinion on the effect of government project categorized by gender, age, marital status, education level, and occupation, and to study ways to prevent and mitigate the effect on the public from the expansion of government project on the housing estate. The population used in this study was 400 people living in Tha Maka district, Kanchanaburi Province. The statistics used for the data analysis were frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation. The hypothesis testing was done with t-test and One-Way ANOVA. The results showed that the majority of respondents were male, aged 4049 years, married, with associate degree/ high vocational certificates, and farmers or fishermen. The overall public opinion on the effect of government project on the housing estate in Tha Maka District, Kanchanaburi province was at a high level. When each aspect was considered, it was found that the highest was effect on the economy, followed by society, environment, and health. The hypothesis testing result was different genders had different opinion on the effect of government project on the housing estate from Tha Maka district, Karnchanaburi province with significance at the 0.05. Different age, marital status, education, and occupation had opinion on the effect of government project on the housing estate in Tha Maka District, Kanchanaburi province was not different with significance at the 0.05.
