MECHANISMS FOR THE STRENGTHENING OF INFORMAL EDUCATION NETWORKS AND FORMAL EDUCATION IN THE DISTRICTS OF CENTRAL THAILAND

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) the strength of informal education networks and nonformal education; 2) the mechanism factors affecting the strength of informal education networks and nonformal education and 3) to propose a model to develop a strengthening mechanisms of informal education networks and nonformal education. The populations studied were 136 directors of informal education networks and nonformal education in the districts of central Thailand, questionnaire was an instrument used for data collection and stepwise multiple regression analysis was used for hypothesis testing.

            The results of the study revealed that : 1. The respondents viewed the strength of informal education networksand nonformal education is at the high level. 2. The mechanism factors affecting the strength of informal education networks and nonformal education included leadership, continuing activities, resource supporting, mutual benefits, participation, management, learning and communication, among others. 3. The model to develop a strengthening mechanisms of informaleducation networks and nonformal education in the districts of central Thailand was development for understanding on personnel management.
