บทคัดย่อ

Municipal solid waste (MSW) problem needs to be solved by every sector
because solid waste is generated from humans’ activities in household and
industry. The populated density area has more waste. Unsurprisingly, the amount
of garbage increase along with Thai population and economic growth. It brings
more following consequences that directly affect living standards such as soil
pollution, air pollution, water pollution, respiratory system problem, digestive
system problem, etc. Public and private sector concern this issue and try to
reduce the solid waste in community. However, the fastest and most efficient way
is the incineration, it brings more pollution. To reduce that problem, the better
management incineration is essential and it comes with cost. So, the idea of from
Refuse Derived fuel (RDF) could remedy this problem. It can reduce municipal solid
waste and generate electricity at the same time. Also, this thought reduces the
dependence on expensive fuel and pollution such as natural gas and coal. Like
other developed countries in Europe and Asia, this waste to energy technologies
can reduce garbage, pollution and save cost at the same time. The consequence
is worthwhile to be considered, with the global acceptance, it would make the
better standard living of nation.
