Reviewing Process
The SAJE is a refereed journal with articles selected through the familiar double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality of the published materials. All papers submitted to the Journal undergo an initial review by a member of our editorial team. Papers that pass the initial review are then sent to be refereed by one or more external reviewers. Usually, the author will receive a first response from the editor within 8 weeks after submission.
Open Access
In order to make research freely available, this journal provides open access to its articles to the public.
Publication Fees
Please note that for all articles submitted on or after 15 July 2025 local Bangkok time, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 12,000 Thai Baht will be applied to each manuscript upon acceptance for publication.
The APC will be used to cover the costs of the publication process, including peer-review management, copyediting, and hosting the final article on dedicated servers.
The submitting author must confirm that the corresponding author agrees to pay the APC. (If there is more than one corresponding author, one must be designated as the responsible contact.)
Once the article is accepted, it will move into the production phase, and the designated corresponding author will be contacted regarding payment. The APC must be paid in full before the article can proceed to typesetting and formatting.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the APC is paid. Please note that the Southeast Asian Journal of Economics does not offer refunds once payment has been made.
