He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland at College Park, where he also completed his M.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Finance/Operations Research. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University. Dr. San’s research is primarily focused on Behavioral Economics, Development Economics, and Econometrics. His work often explores social norms, peer effects in education, and applied economic policy, particularly in the context of energy and environment.

Up Sira Nukulkit teaches at the Faculty of Economics and serves as Director of the Political Economy Studies Center at Chulalongkorn University. He earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of Denver, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Utah. His research interests include macroeconomics, the history of economic thought, development economics, and Thai political economy. He is particularly interested in political economy, theories of value, and methodology in economics.
