Broadening the Social Protection in an Aging Thailand

This article is a based on a policy study that explores alternative schemes to broaden the social safety net to cover the whole population in Thailand: It is well known fact that the social security system as presently existing covers mainly two broad groups, namely, the public employees and the formally-employed workers; together their protection coverage accounts for about one-third of the adult population.
