Organizational Culture Affecting the Effectiveness of Schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration

Abstract

This research have objectives as 1) to study organizational culture of the school under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration 2) to study effectiveness of the school under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration 3) to study organizational culture effected to effectiveness of the school under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The sample was 205 schools which selected by Stratified Random Sampling. Key Informant who response the questionnaire, were 410 persons who consisted of school directors and deputy directors or representative deputy directors that 2 person per each school. The equipment was 5 rating scale questionnaire which had 0.95 confidence. The used statistics were frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The results found that : 1. The school under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration had organizational cultures as type of focus on maximum power , the runner up were type of focus on role ,type of focus on people in the organization and type of focus on work respectively. 2. The school under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration had effectiveness at high level in total. The highest effectiveness was expectation to students, the runner up were administration skill, achieving goals of school, leadership of administrator and environment which conducive to learning respectively. 3. The organizational cultures of the type of focus on maximum power, the organizational cultures of the type of focus on role and the organizational cultures of the type of focus on people in the organization, were variables which effect to the effectiveness of the school under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
