The Learning Society Model in Schools of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study situation of learning society in schools of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality, and 2) create the learning society model in schools of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality. Mixed methods approach was used in this study. For quantitative method, a questionnaire was used to collect data from twelve Nakhon Pathom City Municipality’s schools. The sample were 336 members of administrators, teachers, and educational committees. For qualitative method, documentary analysis, and connoisseurship meetings with experts were applied. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression. The research findings were as follows: 1) The situation of learning society in schools of Nakhon Pathom city municipality were found five elements of learning society as a whole and as an individual, were found at a high level: System Thinking, Learning Dynamic, Team Learning, Knowledge Management and Knowledge Transfer, and Technology and Communication. 2) The learning society model in schools of Nakhon Pathom City Municipality consisted of five elements: System Thinking, Learning Dynamic, Team Learning, Knowledge Management and Knowledge Transfer, and Technology and Communication. Factors affected to learning society were composed of: Personal Development, Teamwork, Organizational Culture, Knowledge Transfer, Learning Technology, and Organizational Structure. The experts agreed that the model was propriety, feasibility, utility, and accuracy at a highest level.
