A Study of The Primary Teacher’s Development Model in Developing Local Integrated Curriculum

Abstract

           This research aims to study the effects of teachers training model to enhance to develop the local integrated curriculum and to assess the effectiveness of the teacher training model to enhance to develop the local integrated curriculum. The tools in this research are the evaluation of quality of the appropriateness of local integrated curriculum, test of integrated curriculum development and the opinionnaire of satisfaction of teachers training model were developed based on the performance of teachers in primary education in developing local integrated curriculum. The data were analyzed in frequency and percentage.


           The results showed that the teachers’ knowledge and understanding over 80 percent in developing local integrated curriculum. They can develop the integrated curriculum that assessed by experts with the effective rate over good in various components and the satisfaction in teachers training model more than 80 percent all aspects. The findings reflect that the teachers training model to develop the integrated curriculum was efficient in teacher development.
