The development of a communication arts curriculum in the era of the Metaverse emphasizes the integration of immersive technology into education, inspired by Hilda Taba's seven-step curriculum development model. This includes needs analysis, objective formulation, content selection, content organization, learning experience selection and organization, and assessment. Adapted to the Metaverse, these steps align with the requirements of a virtual world, promoting experiential learning through VR/AR technologies and equipping students with essential future skills. The curriculum is designed to meet industry demands, including virtual content creation, digital marketing, and problem-solving in uncertain situations. This shift toward digital education supports flexible and open teaching strategies, employing virtual formats such as seminars within the Metaverse, VR-based teamwork skills, and project development that fosters collaboration. Additionally, industry partnerships allow students to gain real-world experience and develop job-ready skills. This study highlights the Metaverse's potential to encourage active learning and engagement with communication arts, preparing students for diverse career paths in communication, design, and technological development.
