A Study of the Cultural Meaning of Zhuang's Frog Festival in Guangxi, China

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาความหมายทางวัฒนธรรมของเทศกาลการบูชากบของชาวจ้วงในมณฑลกวางสี ประเทศจีน เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาว่าการบูชากบของชาวจ้วง เป็นการกระทำเพื่อขอให้มีการเจริญพันธุ์ หรือไม่ (2) เพื่อศึกษาว่าการบูชากบในขณะเดียวกันก็เป็นการขอฝนเพื่อให้การเก็บเกี่ยวได้ผลอุดมสมบูรณ์หรือไม่ การศึกษานี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงเอกสาร รวบรวมข้อมูลจากเอกสารจีนโบราณ (คัมภีร์ปู่รู้ทั่ว) และงานวิจัยด้านโบราณคดี การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา และนำเสนอแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์
ผลการศึกษาวิจัยพบว่า เทศกาลการบูชากบที่จัดขึ้นเดือนมกราคมตามปฏิทินจันทรคติของชาวจ้วงทุกปีของมณฑลกวางสีนั้น เป็นประเพณีที่ตกทอดมาจากพิธีกรรมการบูชากบเพื่อขอให้มีการเจริญพันธุ์ และเพื่อความอยู่รอดของเผ่าพันธุ์บรรพชนชาวจ้วง เป็นการสะท้อนถึงจุดประสงค์ของการบูชากบของชาวจ้วงในสมัยโบราณ ที่สำคัญคือ หวังว่าประชากรของชนเผ่าจ้วงจะมีความสามารถด้านการเจริญพันธุ์เหมือนกบ ขณะเดียวกันก็ขอให้ฝนมีเพียงพอเพื่อผลิตผลทางการเกษตร และการเลี้ยงปศุสัตว์จะได้เจริญรุ่งเรือง
