Abstract
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL WISDOM OF LOOGPANG KAOMARK MAKING IN THE CENTRAL AREA OF THAILAND
This research aimed to survey the diversity of local wisdom of Loogpang Kaomark making in the central area of Thailand; Ayutthaya, Angthong, Lopburi and Saraburi provinces included to suggest the ways for knowledge management of local wisdom of Loogpang Kaomark making. A villager who produced Loogpang Kaomark in each province was a key informant. Research tools were structural interview form and observation form of Loogpang Kaomark making. Data were tested by methodological triangulation and analyzed by qualitative method. The results showed that production process of Loogpang Kaomark in the 4 provinces were from ancestors, relatives or closed friends. Some villagers were more investigation by themselves. Loogpang Kaomark processing and raw materials were different in these areas especially Thai herbs. They believed in usefulness of Loogpang Kaomark for heart and circulation health, but lacked of probiotic knowledge. Therefore, related organizations should define and set up knowledge management for support and rehabilitation of the local wisdom in Loogpang Kaomark making in order that new generation would be aware and appreciate the value of Thai healthy food production which could do commercially and strengthen community economy.
