Abstract
THE INFLUENCE OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ON EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT OF RAMKHAMHAENG UNIVERSITY
This research aims to investigate the level of relationship among individuals at Ramkhamhaeng University, classified by study personal factor, study the influence of the personal factors and to study the factor of human resource management on the employee at Ramkhamhaeng University. Results of this research is based on a sample of two personnel groups: (1) A group of short-term university income employees on an annual contact, which work in the “Hua-mhak” campus, paid by the budget of Ramkhamhaeng University (2) A group of 238 short-term employees on an annual contact, working in a distinctive project of Ramkhamhaeng University, paid by the project income. This research applies the multi-stage technique as random sampling method. The methodological instrument of this research is an questionnaire, used for descriptive statistics (i.e. evaluation and description of mean, standard deviation, and percentage) and inferential statistics. In the case of comparison of two groups, the researcher employ t-test statistics. In the case of comparison of more than two groups, One-way ANOVA is implemented. The multiple regression is applied for the analysis of the effect from age and duration of the employment as well as for the assessment of the impact of human resource management on the employee commitment in Ramkhamhaeng University. The results are concluded as follows: (1) The level of employees commitment at Ramkhamhaeng University is difference, regarding to the employment contact. (2) The human resource management, in terms of work assessment, the payment strategy, and human development, has an impact on the employee commitment at Ramkhamhaeng University.
