A STUDY OF POTENTIAL PROBLEMS AND NEEDS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: A CASE STUDY OF BAN DONG BANG MOO 1 NONG SA PLA SUB-DISTRICT NONG HAN DISTRICT UDON THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The study of Dong Bang Village’s potential, issue, and demand. The objectives of this study are 1) study about general context at level of community and house hold. 2) Research potential, issue and demand in this village. Study by community survey and in-depth interviews 23 key informant. Make selection by purposive sampling and content analysis. The study results are as follows:

The study result of Potential of community’s Dong Bang Village 1 has potential as follows: 1) The community of Dong-bang village has the specialist of potential textile which popular at the present time. They should develop the potential of tailor and design and another products to relate with the desire of market. 2) Air conditioner mechanical is the one of job that increase to the communication. 3) Carrier group, fund group have potential to manage and develop products at a stretch.

The study result of community’s Dong-bang village 1 has issue 1) Labor shortage in agriculture because they still use labor in production as a substitute for agricultural machinery In which the community uses labor at the same time. 2) Professional groups can create a variety of community products but lacking the potential to bring community products to the market 3) lack of successor to the wisdom of producing long drums

            The study result of community’s Dong-bang village 1 has demand as follows: 1) Demand of agricultural consultants. 2) Demand of various agencies to help promote the distribution of products from the community to enhance the quality of life of the community.
