A WAY FOR THE CREATING PUBLIC AWARENESS IN THE COMMUNITY OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS IN NONG KHAI PROVINCE

Abstract

The title of the research, was aimed at its three objectives: 1)  to study of existing conditions and advantages of possession of public awareness in community development of local government organizations in Mueang district, Nongkhai; 2) to analyse strength, weakness and opportunity as well as threat against/ of creating public service mind for the community development of  local government organizations in Mueang district, Nongkhai; 3) to develop the strategic plan to create public awareness for community development of local government organizations in Mueang district, Nongkhai.

Findings of the research: 1) The present conditions of public awareness, overall, was in average level                ( = 3.09); as far as individual aspects are concerned, all aspects were found in the moderate level. It, however, the desirability of creating pubic mind was at the highest level ( = 4.57). 2) In terms of the strength, weakness, opportunities and threat of creating public awareness in community development of local government organizations in Mueang district, Nongkhai, it was found that there was 36 indicators in cultivation of public mind, there were 21 weak points; the opportunity of creating public awareness has 12 indicators. There was 21 indicators seems to be found as a threat of building public awareness. 3)The strategy of creating public awareness in community development of local government organizations in Mueang district, Nongkhai consisted of two main strategies and four secondary strategies as well as 33 measures
