HEALTH LITERACY AND DISEASE PREVENTION BAHAVIORS AMONG LEARNERS OF SPORTS COMMUNICATION IN CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) PANDEMIC PERIOD

Abstract
The purposes of this research article were to: 1) study health literacy among learners, 2) study disease prevention behaviors among learners, and 3) study relationship between health literacy and disease prevention behaviors among learners of sports communication in Coronavirus disease pandemic period. The data were selected from the 78 samples who are sports communication learners by purposive sampling. The tools that are used in research, including the measurement form about health literacy and disease prevention behaviors among learners of sports communication in Coronavirus disease pandemic period. The statistics, which are used analytic, include frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficients.
The research results were 1) most of the sports communication learners were male (78.21%), which was the most first year class (percentage = 33.33%), and the learners were the most domiciled in Udon Thani (48.72%), 2) the sports communication learners had the best overall health literacy (Average = 44.47, S.D. = 5.27), 3) the sports communication learners had a fairly correct disease preventive behavior (Average = 45.17, S.D. = 2.85), and 4) the health literacy among sports communication learners was associated with disease prevention behaviors in Coronavirus disease pandemic period in moderate level for overall (r = 0.58).
