Abstract

The research aims (1) to study components of spiritual intelligence of upper secondary students of demonstration schools in the Northeast; (2) to develop an integrative group counseling model and (3) to compare the post-experiment spiritual intelligence scores of the students in the experimental group with the students in the control group The research is comprised of two groups;( 1) 400 students from all the Northeastern demonstration schools for the study of components of spiritual intelligence sample, obtained by stratified random sampling. (2) 32 students from KKU Those with scores below 50 percent were experimental group and control group, 16 persons each group. The results: 1) The spiritual intelligence of students from all demonstration schools. There are five components: natural perception, compassion, holistic perception and vision and appreciation.; all of the above fitted with empirical data; 2) The integrative group counseling model was developed by integration of results of factor analysis of the five components with techniques from five psychological counseling theories, namely; the client-centered, the Gestalt, the existential, the reality confrontation, and the relationship analysis; the developed model comprised of nine activities each consisting three steps: the beginning step, the operational step, and the terminal step; also, quality of the developed model passed verification results by the experts; and 3) The results showed that the mean scores of spiritual intelligence after the experiment of the experimental group were higher.
