Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1. to study of the local knowledge of folk doctors and health department officers for using the utilization of Local Herbals and 2. to find appropriate management methods of local herbals for use with worthwhile. This study was done by interviewing and focus group of local doctors and health department officers. The results shown that The Local Herbals utilization data are local names, part of plants used, efficiency and mode of administration in Krogplakaung area, the key person who takes the important role is the folk doctors. The management guidelines for using local herbals in a sustainable manner without affecting the risk of shortages and extinction of plants were; 1. Providing the guidelines to promote and support the worthily use of local herbals 2. Management local knowledge of local herbals by transferring knowledge to learning group of folk doctors.
