การพัฒนาค่าปรับแก้ผลการประเมินคุณภาพการสอน ของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยโดยนักศึกษา

Abstract

        การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อตรวจสอบความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างชุดของตัวแปรอิสระ ได้แก่ เพศของอาจารย์ ประสบการณ์การสอน เกรดรายวิชา ระดับชั้นปี ขนาดของชั้นเรียน และ ผลการประเมินตนเองของนักศึกษา กับ ผลการประเมินคุณภาพการสอนของอาจารย์โดยนักศึกษา กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนิสิตจำนวน 2,222 คน ประเมินอาจารย์ประจำของมหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา จังหวัดชลบุรี จำนวน 84 คน ในระหว่างปีการศึกษา 2549 ผลการใช้วิธีการถดถอยพหุคูณ แสดงว่า สมการถดถอยพหุคูณประกอบด้วยตัวแปรอิสระ 4 ตัวเรียงตามค่าน้ำหนัก ได้แก่ ผลการประเมินตนเองของนักศึกษา เพศของอาจารย์ ประสบการณ์ การสอน และเกรดรายวิชา ซึ่งร่วมกันทำนายตัวแปรผลการประเมินคุณภาพการสอนของอาจารย์ โดยนักศึกษาได้ร้อยละ 32 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 มีการนำเสนอสมการถดถอยพหุคูณในรูปคะแนนดิบและคะแนนมาตรฐาน และสมการสำหรับการปรับแก้ตัวแปรตามโดยใช้ตัวแปรเกรดรายวิชาเฉลี่ย

Development of a Set of Adjusted Values for Undergraduate Student Evaluations of Instructional Quality

           The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between a set of independent variables, instructor gender, teaching experience, course grade, class level, class size, and student self-report, with results obtained from evaluations of instructional quality. During the 2006 academic year, 2,222 students submitted evaluation reports for 84 instructors at Burapha University, Chon Buri. Using multiple regression procedures, it was determined that a weighted linear combination of four of the independent variables, student self-report, instructor gender, teaching experience, and course grade could account for 32% of the variance found among the evaluation reports (statistically significant at the .05
level). Regression equations of raw scores and standard scores, and an equation for adjusting the dependent variable for average course grade, are provided herein.
