A Study of People and Tourists’Attitude and Satisfaction in Secure Bicycling and Walk on the Pedestal Public for Diary Life in Upper North Eastern of Thailand Case Study: Sakhon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan

Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study people and tourists’ attitude toward the safety of pedestrians and bicycling in public, 2) to study people and tourists’ participation in secure bicycling and walking on public pedestal and, 3) to study people and tourists’ satisfaction in the safety of pedestrians and bicycling in daily life in upper north eastern region of Thailand. The samples of this research were 3,000 people from the upper north eastern region of Thailand by purposive random sampling. The instruments used in this research were interview schedule. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation. The research findings could be concluded as follows: The people and tourists’ attitude toward secure bicycling and as pedestrians was found to be significant at 34.80 %. Most people were convinced of the safety in bicycling and as pedestrians in daily life accounting for 51.60 while some were not sure which accounted for 50.63 %. The people and tourists’ attitude towards participation in secure bicycling as pedestrians revealed a high opinion (= 3.98). It was found that most of them were participating in secure bicycling and as pedestrians at (= 4.48). The satisfaction was high ( = 3.95). It was found that most of them participated in bicycling and as pedestrians by chance (= 4.68).
