The Efficiency Analysis and Development of the Finance and Supplies System, School of Administrative Studies, Maejo University

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the level of operation and efficiency of the finance and supplies system. College of Administration Maejo University 2) Analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) of finance and supplies work and 3) Propose guidelines for improving the efficiency of finance and supplies system. It is a mixed method research both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The sample was users of finance and supplies services of College of Administration during June to December 2019, research instrument were questionnaires and interviews Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, frequency, mean, and standard deviation.

The results showed that : 1) Operation and efficiency of the finance and supplies system. College of Administration Maejo University was found, in both overall and individual aspects, to stand at a ‘MUCH’ level.  2) Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of finance and supplies. (1) Strengths convenient disbursement system for service recipients; the officers were selfless and follow the law strictly. (2) Weaknesses are changes in rules and regulations causing confusion for both service providers and service users (3) Opportunities are the organizational adjustments from outside the university system and (4) Threats are rules Regulations related to treasury and procurement work have changed causing the management to be discontinued due to the change in rules and regulations. The Government Procurement and Supplies Administration Act B.E. 2560 has strict and complex regulations. 3) Guidelines for Development of Finance and Supplies System, College of Administration (1) Work system (1.1) Information technology system should be used to assist in the operation. (2) Operational staff (2.1) Knowledge should be exchanged with personnel within the organization to create understanding for everyone to receive information related to treasury work. and parcels. (2.2) Should provide services with good service mind. in order to create maximum service satisfaction. (3) Service recipients Should understand the rules, regulations or guidelines for work related to treasury and supplies. These guidelines will lead to the efficiency of the treasury and inventory system.
