Existence of Subdistrict Physicians and Proactive Public Health Management in the Area of Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province

Abstract

This research study on the existence of subdistrict physicians and proactive public health management in Mae Taeng district, Chiang Mai province had the objectives of 1) to investigate the existence, work, and community health management of subdistrict physicians, and 2) to exiemine the factors supporting the work of community health management of subdistrict physicians.

The results of research on existence of subdistrict physicians found that subdistrict physicians existed through awareness and understanding of community leaders, agencies, and people's organizations. Furthermore, they known subdistrict physicians by social behavioral expressions, and working according to the role, authority, efficiency and effectiveness have empirical performance under the motivation to work. Because of the satisfaction in the work and being a subdistrict physicians as well, the subdistrict physicians had dedicated their physical and mental energy to work attheir full potential. Research results on factors that support work management and development consisted of 1) the factors of ideology in working, ideology of being a subdistrict physicians, and love the hometown, 2) the factors of knowledge, ability, and academic experience  to development and operation smanagement, 3) the factors in obtaining the opportunity to work at full potential because it is the highest need of a person and with being accepted by the people, being praised by people in society, and lead stop restigeinsociety which were a positive reinforcing factor for subdistrict physicians in terms of creating motivation in working. Besides, the subdistrict physicians were satisfied with their work and being a subdistrict physicians, 4) the factor in the stability of the family came to support, thus making the work of subdistrict physicians more efficient and effective.
