Factors Affecting the Administrative Success of Local Administrative Organizations: A Case Study of Rang Chorakhe Subdistrict Administrative Organization in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) investigate factors affecting the administrative success of local administrative organizations: a case study of Rang Chorakhe subdistrict administrative organization, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province; and 2) provide guidelines to develop the administrative success of local administrative organizations: a case study of Rang Chorakhe subdistrict administrative organization, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. A mixed-methods research design was employed. For the quantitative data, the sample comprised 382 subjects, while for the qualitative data, 12 key informants were recruited, and a focus group was conducted with 9 individuals associated with the Rang Chorakhe subdistrict administrative organization. The statistical methods used for data analysis included percentages, mean scores, standard deviations, and multiple regression.

The results of the study indicated that: 1) factors affecting the administrative success of local administrative organizations: a case study of Rang Chorakhe subdistrict administrative organization, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, encompassed factors related to local development vision, leadership, organizational personnel responsibility, teamwork, people sector participation, public sector participation, and private sector participation, at a statistical significance level of .01, consistent with qualitative research findings; 2) guidelines for developing the administrative success of local administrative organizations: a case study of Rang Chorakhe subdistrict administrative organization, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, included: (1) organization management: various technologies for organizational management enhancement should be leveraged; and (2) best practices for project or activity implementation by the Rang Chorakhe subdistrict administrative organization: continuous evaluations and follow-ups were implemented, while knowledge accumulation within the organization should be enhanced to foster ongoing innovation.
