The role of public benefit organizations in the prosecution of prostitution and human trafficking

Abstract

Prostitution is a type of human trafficking that changes in the context of a dynamic society by prostitution by itself, or offline channels switched to hawking services to a gathering place that was a meeting point for trade or services or in the form of trade in services through hidden businesses. It can be seen in the business of providing services and entertainment in various forms such as massage parlors, clubs, bars, karaoke shops to prostitution via online channels with applications such as line, Facebook, or sex trafficking websites. It can be said that the fast and modern technology media is a way to use for sexual exploitation in prostitution today, considering that prostitution patterns are more diverse and complex, but that prostitution does not decrease, moreover, the law and law enforcement did not keep up with the situation of the problem which affects the management of the prostitution problem which is not very useful at present. As a result, public benefit organizations that are working on the issue of anti-human trafficking and prostitution are more alert and aware of the proactive steps to help victims of the above cases. Moreover, the public benefit organization also acts as a middle mechanism for coordinating operations both in preventing problems, following up on legal assistance, and coordinating with foreign private organizations in order to efficiently cooperate and solve problems. Relevant public benefit organizations such as ECPAT Foundation Thailand, Pavena Foundation for Children and Women, Friends of Women Foundation (FOW), or Human Rights and Development Foundation (HRDF). This research will study the role of the organization in the above in which each organization has its goals, roles, and duties in assisting in cases involving prostitution and human trafficking in Thailand, as well as how the guidelines or operations to solve or manage prostitution problems
with concrete and most effective.
