Directing the Children in Animation Club Program

Abstract

This article aims to describe about directing the children in television program “Animation Club,” which broadcasted every Friday from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm between October 2015 - August 2016 and every Sunday from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm between October - September 2016 and on holidays until December 2017. The result found that here are 12 important elements for director to concern when directing the children: (1). rehearsal the children, (2) create the outstanding character of the children, (3) understand the nature of children, (4) build relationship with children, (5) rehearsal before shooting, (6) adapt the script to children’s nature, (7) tell children what you want clearly, (8) let children tell their opinions, (9) listen to children’s opinions, (10) know the limit of children (11) build relationship with parents and (12) solving problems during shooting.
