Abstract

This article describes the story, creation and relation of graphic art on Japanese Manhole to the culture, scenery and local festival etc. The use of local identity and stories can express and gain a lot of values to motivate and promote their local identity to tourists. It also creates new cultural values such as toy collection and new activities after using graphic arts to the manhole that no one was ever interested in.
