Abstract

The article aims to conclude the main concepts for the emergence of the Synthetic Futurist Theatre by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti. Futurist Theatre was occurred from an artistic and social movement that would represents the destruction of traditional theater which instead replaced by the synthetic expressions. Inspired by the technological advances of modernization, machinery, war and speed. There are five concepts; (1) Complete break with past, (2) freedom in using language, (3) performance straight to the point and detonate all prolonged (Sintesi), (4) the variety theatre and (5) stimulating the emotions that express by the audience which shows the participation. Futurist theatre is a style of Avant-garde theatre which aims for experimental Research in Theatre that can create new knowledge in performance.
