Abstract

The article “Creating the Art of Photography for Communication with Shutter Speed Techniques” aims to demonstrate the techniques of controlling shutter speed for photography and to describe the process of creating photographs for communication with the same techniques. The results of the creative work found that;

1. Controlling shutter speed techniques for communicative photography results in 2 types of content, informational content and emotional content. Informational content is a photograph that human eyes can’t normally grasp in which shutter speed technique must be used. Emotional content is a photograph that expressing excitement, lively, human facial emotion and dynamic of freezing events.

2. Choosing the shutter speed to create photographs is a better way to communicate than common photographs because it is unique and it can express the emotion—in both freezing the subject and moving subject, which implies to the emotional and informational recognition of the audiences
