Abstract

The arts sector in Thailand, encompassing visual arts, performing arts, and design, has seen significant growth since 2006. However, to effectively enhance artistic capability, learning outcomes, and economic impact, there is a pressing need for arts administration professionals. Currently, Thai society lacks university-level education programs specifically tailored to produce such professionals. This research aims to address this gap by proposing a Bachelor's degree program in Arts Administration. Drawing from analysis of similar university-level programs, insights from industry professionals and experts were gathered to design the curriculum. The proposed Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts in Arts Administration encompasses courses in art history and aesthetics, arts administration, arts in social and cultural contexts, arts administration practices, and English language skills for arts administration. This initiative aims to meet the growing need for skilled arts administrators and managers in Thailand, facilitating the development and sustainability of its vibrant arts scene.
