Readiness towards a Digital University of Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon

Abstract

This research aimed to study the readiness towards a digital university of Rajamangala University of Technology Pra Nakhon. The sample group consisted of students, instructors and university staff. The research tools were questionnaire and interview. The data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, f-test and Pearson Correlation. The findings were as follows: as for the readiness of university IT system, students’ opinions were at moderate level ( =2.51, S.D.=.375) while instructors’ and staff’s opinions were at low level ( =2.39, S.D.=.624 and =2.25, S.D.=.472). Due to students’ opinions of the university IT system, the digital infrastructure service system was highly prepared ( =2.91, S.D.=.570) and the digital learning resource service system was rarely available ( =2.14, S.D.=.535). According to instructors’ opinions, classrooms, labs, computer labs were hardly ready to use ( =1.92, S.D.=.782) while as for staff’s opinions, the digital research information system was rarely prepared ( =2.03, S.D.=.887). Regarding to the factors relating to the readiness of the university IT system, the highest factor in the student group was goals for IT service. The highest factor in the instructor group was the easy online login service system. The highest factor in the university staff group was sex.
