Female Photographer and How to Become a Fashion Photographer : A Case of Katherline Lyndia

Abstract

This research aimed to study and analyze the accumulation and expansion of capital to create the professional identity of female photographers through photographic activity. The accumulation and expansion of capital in relation to a photographic career were examined through a case study of Katherine Lyndia. Data was gathered by in-depth interview and informal interview, including content analysis of accumulation and expansion of capital. According to Katherline Lyndia’s case, she built her profile as a female fashion photograher career by  accumulation and expansion the capital of cultural, economic, social, identity, sub-fields as well as the concept of feminism then turned her to be a recognized female fashion photographer. According to her past experiences, she could create her own unique identity, new meanings and new images, as an outstanding female fashion photogragher.
