Abstract
This study has two objectives: to study the characters of organic coffee entrepreneurs as well as to strengthen the financial conditions of organic coffee entrepreneurs in Tambon Thepsadej, Doisaket, Chiang Mai via financial management training. The questionnaire is utilised to collect data from 86 entrepreneurs. The findings show that most entrepreneurs are sole proprietorship and have operated business for more than six years. Most financial funding is from external sources and the solution for a liquidity problem is a loan from financial institutions. In the case of emergencies, however, entrepreneurs have their own savings. They also have a long-term forecasting and planning. Some suggestions for financial strengthening are the followings: i) the government or educational institutions should provide knowledge of capital budgeting decision and alternative sources of funding. This would help entrepreneurs know various financial sources and understand the cost of funds. ii) Knowledge of business operations (e.g., current assets management) should be provided. These will increase the liquidity of business operation.
