A Study of The Elephant Pacification Poems of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great as a Eulogy

Abstract
This research aims to study the conceptual patterns used in the elephant pacification poems of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great as a Eulogy. The results found that there were 2 conceptual patterns, namely; 1) The conceptual ideas of commemoration, which consist of Devaraja, Dhammaraja, Buddharaja, and Chakravartin and 2) The representation of the commemoration in the contemporary period strategies, including, praising his majesty’s virtues; describing the royal virtues which had been done by his majesty himself to the public, reflecting his majesty morale and power like the birth of the white elephant in his reign. With all these reasons, it can be considered that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great was called "Phrachao Changphueak", the one who has noble merit, and “the elephant pacification poems” was completely considered as the commemoration to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
