These profession require business techniques and language skills(English), are important factors in establishing social positions away from that of wifehood a property, allowing them to become heads of households. 
           Tourism has lead the way to a chance in the status of rrsu woman ano their roles in society, while at the same time drawn male tourists in search of sex into Thailand. This added to Thai culture and Thai traditions regarding females and their obligations to family and their being regarded as part of a families property. Ali of these factors have made many Lisu women in these tourist areas choose to have relationships with foreign tourists. parfly to improve their economic condition and status, and partly to improve social status in Thai society; Thai society has elements of racism regarding minority ethnic groups. Having a relationship with a foreigner, who are regarded a having a higher economjc and social status than Thais, seem raise/change them in higher status.
